Position Summary: An entry level Meter Technician position responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and reliability of all gas, H2O and condensate meters by performing routine calibrations, maintenance and daily review of measurement data. The Meter Technician performs all duties while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for basic installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all measurement, control, instrumentation and emergency shutdown systems
- Assists with the installation, programming and calibration of measurement and control devices located at well production sites and at compressors and master meters
- Checks and reads meters and various production and pipeline points to ascertain corrected flow measurements
- Complies with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies
- Records and validates work preformed
- Gathers samples on wells, master meters, and compressor stations
- Calibrates, configures and adjusts control devices and electronic equipment to ensure data integrity
- May be assigned to lift batteries for installation into the RTU's that control all the instruments on the pad
- Responsible for testing the emergency shutdown systems (ESDs). Assists well tenders with any issues surrounding the operating of the automated instrument and controls system
- Develops knowledge of all the equipment we have on the facilities, and how to operate, calibrate, and maintain. Working to learn the best methods of troubleshooting all of the devices we have on the pad
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience: 1 year of applicable experience, some exposure to electronics preferred
Oil & Gas Exp Required: Preferred
Skills: Basic computer skills in Windows- based software programs, basic understanding of analog and digital signaling and the ability to operate a multi-meter for troubleshooting, safety oriented/minded
Equipment/Machinery:Computer
Thermo AutoConfig, ROCLINK, Freewave, Mepaflow CBM, Daniel MeterLink, Cygnet, Totalflow PCCU or any other software needed to communicate to the measurement devices
Hand Tools
Working Conditions: Field-based; subjected to seasonal field conditions ranging from normal to extreme temperature and weather conditions
