The Finishing Technician will utilize standard processes to perform assigned tasks while completing the following:
Adhering to and maintaining 5S and LEAN Manufacturing standards.
Functioning as a member of a work team by contributing and initiating quality, safety and productivity ideas.
Training co-workers on manufacturing skills as required.
Communicating appropriately to avoid unplanned downtime.
Remove sharp edges from machined parts
Sand, de-burr, clean, fill voids, grind, mask, buff and polish parts
Prime, paint and clearcoat parts
Ensure that final size, shape and details of parts are correct and in accordance with standards
Notice and comment on the level of quality of products
Work towards continuous improvement and efficiency
Recognize problems and help in their resolutions
Complete required paperwork
General mechanical aptitude.
Ability to operate and use basic hand tools.
Ability to comply with OSHA respirator fit testing requirements.
Previous industrial painting experience. Autobody, paint shop or vocational technical experience is a preferred.
General knowledge of paint booth equipment and proper housekeeping procedures is preferred.
Previous experience in construction or landscaping may do well as this is a hands on position, in which you will be exposed to dust and varied temperatures.
