Progeny Systems is looking for full time Assemblers for our Canonsburg, PA Facility. Qualified applicants will perform assembly of complex electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical products. The successful candidate is able to work independently and within a team environment. This person will also have an ability to meet rigorous product requirements, display strict attention to detail and an aptitude to providing quality workmanship.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs components and sub-assemblies in accordance with provided work instructions.
• Mechanical assembly following specifications and work instructions.
• Keeps accurate records for build information, anomalies, defects and test data.
• Maintains all manufacturing related equipment and facilities.
• Contributes to the workplace organization initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Mechanical, electronic, or related abilities.
• Experienced with and able to use hand tools, small power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Able to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• Exhibits computer skills.
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
• Possesses and maintains a good attendance record.
• Able to work overtime when required (including nights and weekends).
• Strong organizational tendencies and practices.
• Able to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• Experienced with and able to use hand tools and small power tools.

Education/Experience

• Two-to-five-year minimum experience in an Assembly role or related position.
• Preference will be given to candidates that possess qualifications in:

• Mechanical Assembly
• Electronics Assembly

Security Clearance

This position may require the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.

Physical and Mental Requirements for all positions:

• Prolonged stationary periods at a desk
• General ability to operate computer and other productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds at times
• Effectively communicate with others
• Ability to access and inspect all areas of machinery including under desks and in server areas.
• Ability to stay focused and provide attention to detail.
• Ability to think analytically and apply problem solving skills to scenarios throughout the course of the workday
